About Club Penguin Card Jitsu
The card-jitsu game was introduced in Club Penguin in November, 2008. It allows you to advance levels and earn belts on your way to getting a black belt and becoming a Club Penguin Ninja. The game works like rock-paper-scissors but with cards. There is a lot of luck involved but also some important strategy and hopefully this guide will help you become a better Card-Jitsu player.
Card-Jitsu Basics
Card Jitsu is played by two players who each play one card. The important thing to remember is that:
- Fire beats Snow
- Water beats Fire
- Snow beats Water
Usually a higher number card beats a lower number card when players play the same type of card. The one exception is in a round following when someone plays a special card that reverses the order for the next round. Then, lower numbers beat higher numbers.
There are also some other special cards that players can have that effect the game. These cards are only available as unlockable items for people who have purchased actual trading cards for Club Penguin in the store or online.
Getting Started
To start playing Card-Jitsu, go visit the sensei in the Dojo. Click on the dojo on your map then go inside and walk over to the sensei in the upper-right corner. He will ask if you want to play. Say yes and then choose Competition Mode because this mode will get you the most points towards earning belts. The more matches you win the more belts you will earn.
Be patient because you will need to win a lot of matches to get to black belt. It can take a long time and you will need to win more than a 100 matches to get there.

Tracking Progress
Club Penguin updated the Card-Jitsu game in May, 2009 with a feature that lets you track your progress in the game. Click on the blue card icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen to see a screen that shows how far you have progressed to the next belt. You can also view all the cards you have in your collection.

Club Penguin Card-Jitsu Series 2
Series 2 of the Club Penguin Card-Jitsu game recently became available in stores and online. The game is played the same way but the card packs are different. There are also now special cards called Golden cards that you have a small chance of finding in one of the card packs that you buy. If you find one, you can use it to skip an entire belt level in the game. It's a great way to quickly move from brown belt to black belt!
Club Penguin Card-Jitsu Fire
Club Penguin Card-Jitsu Fire is a new expansion to the Card-Jitsu game that just came out. There will be a new card deck available in stores and a new members-only game on Club Penguin that takes place in a new room called the Fire Dojo. This room is inside the Volcano that recently appeared on Club Penguin. You'll need a ninja amulet from the martial artworks catalog to get inside.
The game plays a lot differently than the original Card-Jitsu.
If you want to go to the Fire Dojo, first go into the secret ninja hideout and then click on the little stone door inside on the left of the stairs. A huge door will appear on the left side of the room and once it's there you can walk through it. One the other side is the Fire Dojo.
To start playing the game, you must walk up to Sensei in the back of the room. On the first time you talk with him, you'll get some additional Card-Jitsu cards in your deck. These are added to your current collection of cards. You can also add special cards when you purchase packs of Card-Jitsu cards at the store or at Amazon.com or other online stores.
The new Card-Jitsu Fire game plays differently than the original. A major change is that up to four players play at the same time. Many of the rules and procedures in the game have changed as well. You begin playing with 6 energy points. The basic goal is to be the final player left with energy. The way that the game works is that each player takes a turn. On your turn, you click on the highlighted ring of stones in the lava. They spin to reveal a number. You can then move that number of spaces either to the left or the right. The space you land on determines the kind of round that is played. If you select a fire, snow or water place then a basic round is played where each player puts down a card. Whoever has the highest card of that type wins. The winner keeps all of his current energy points and all other players lose one. There are also wildcard spaces. When you land on one, you get to choose which kind of round to play fire, water or snow. And there are also special Card-Jitsu spaces. If you land on one of these, you choose any player to challenge in a normal round of Card-Jitsu. If you land on a space with another player already on it, you automatically play them in a single round of Card-Jitsu. The winner of a Card-Jitsu round gets to add a point to his total score while the loser of the round loses a point.
The game is over and a winner is declared when everyone else loses all their energy points. After the game ends, you earn some progress towards earning the very cool Fire Suit. The amount of progress towards each piece of the suit depends on what place you got in the game and how many people were playing. The full suit has four items in it, beginning with the flame sandals. It's pretty easy to earn the first piece, but the remaining pieces are much harder to earn. Finally, when you get all the pieces of the suit, you can challenge Sensei to a round of Card-Jitsu Fire and attempt to win a special jewel that goes inside your amulet.
Card-Jitsu Water
Card-Jitsu Water is the latest expansion to the game. It can be played in the new Water Dojo, which is accessible from the secret ninja hideout. In Card-Jitsu Water, it's more of a race against other penguins to reach the gong at the end of the playing field. You advance by jumping to empty stones that are adjacent to you. You can play cards that appear below to clear the stones or to block your opponents from moving.

this game is ok. i am only a purple belt and i tried and i tried and i tried but i could'nt beat any penguins. this is too hard!

To get power cards youmust buy a card jitsu pack from toys r us and you will be given a card with a code on the back. now I can laugh at the sensei while i watch ninjas scaring the living daylights out of him!!!

I am a black belt! [Whoo Whoooo.....]I took about 2-3 months to get the black belt. It's not that hard,you just have to keep trying! Even when you loose you will still earn points! My friend just started playing card jitsu last week and now he is around 40-50%.

guys heres one strategy: ok so say the other penguin has 1 fire 1 snow then they will go for water and u pick snow to freeze and also u can use reverse reverse phycology as in the opponent knows u are gonna try to freeze them they will pick fire and u pick water than u win i no its pretty complicated but thats how i win most of my card jitsu games

It is...there in no word to describe how cool is it!I am a ninja and the Ninja Hideout is sooper-dooper cool(even if I cannot buy anything).
Its not fair cause i got a pack of card-jistu cards that came with a power cardand it came with a code. I entered the code online. when i look at my cards on clubpenguin the power card IS NOT there. I look at the card and it says "When this is scored, Your opponents card gets -2 for the next round" What does it mean? Can anyone PLEASE HELP ME

we have got from orange belt to ninja in under 24 hrs!!! wahoo!!! you have to win so many times to move up to the next belt, i googled "earning cards in card jitsu club penguin", went on the 2nd one down and it says how many times you need to win to move to the next belt. Didnt realise this til after we had become ninja mind you!, as we were also tryin to find out how to get more cards! which now it seems the answer is to buying cards in real life and using a code on them! shall do this soon i think!!! happy card playing!!!

th only way to get more cards is to go to toys "r" us and buy a pack, on the back of the cards theres a code, enter that code on club penguin and you'll get thoose cards.
some cards do certian things like -2 which means they lose to points off there cards e.g. water 4,,,, water 2, some make sure you cant use a certain element e.g. snow.

I have been playing Card Jitsu only today and I am purple belt. Here is a tip; don't click on the cards, the computer auto picks one after 15 seconds and sometimes they pick strategic cards lol

if u want to know where the card jitsu water and snow is first complet fire to get to water (to get into water just stand on the water symbol on the ground) and to get to snow finish water (to get to it go out side and stand on the clump of snow)

Log on to club penguin and type in your username and password and click unlock items and click i have a book and click the RockHopper book and when they ask you what word is on page 25 type in Yarr and you should end up getting one thousand coins and a blue book. You rock as much as i do. Please post!

guys here's one strategy: OK so say the other penguin has 1 fire 1 snow then they will go for water and u pick snow to freeze and also u can use reverse reverse physiology as in the opponent knows u are gonna try to freeze them they will pick fire and u pick water than u win i no its pretty complicated but that's how i win most of my card-jitsu games

Firstly, I got my black belt in A Day, it was hard work but it can be done! Second there is NO Water or Snow Dojo, yet.
And MOST IMPORTANT is ALL codes on this page have been used - if u enter a wrong code 5 times you will get locked out for 1hour - i know it just happened to me!

For Gods sake everyone stop going "OMG too hard" and "How u beat Sensei" and "I have 10000000 cards beat that". Beating the Sensei is pure luck. Took me a dozen attempts and I'm now top notch fire ninja. Of course it takes a while to earn belts- as free clothing items, do you really think Cluc Penguin will give them up easily? And as for those of you with 3489458430 cards... good for you. Nice little walkthrough here that goes over the basics. Would prefer more than just how to play, as in proper tips, but good all the same.

Theres a way to get Card-Jistu cards with no store. You need to be a member.I'm going to tell you how.
1.Earn all your belts.
2.Defeat Sensie (To beat Sensie play him alot of times and he will get weeker)
3. Go in the Ninja Hideout.
4. Get 200 coins.
5. Go in the Martial Artworks Catlog (In the Ninga Hideout)and buy the Auron.
6. Click on the fire sign.
7. Go in the door before it closes.
8. Talk to Sensie thats in your room.
He will offer you a deck of cards. (Ten Cards)
Well I beat Sensie using one power card that I got from nothing.
To get power cards you have to buy them at places like Target.
Now this is how to get to the water dojo:
- Beat sensei, then go to the ninja hideout.
- Make sure ur a member, or it wont work.
- Go to the Cracked wall hole and that is the water dojo.

OK, now that CJFire and CJWater are out, member penguins can get booster decks with one power card in each deck!
IM already a ninja it took me a month to pass all belts its really fun this game
I have been a ninja for ages now! I know lots of penguins find it hard to get the black belt, but I didn't find it hard at all! One tip is to keep going; especially if you already have your black belt and are trying to become a ninja! Just keep playing Sensei and he will soon lose against you! And if you don't have your black belt yet, keep on going!

sensie you really are the BEST you are soooooo good and i wish that i got more cards they are hard to get and my family does not have enough money for cards!!!!
If you always play on the mats in Card-Jitsu it takes slower to get a new belt, you have to go to Sensei and click the top one saying Earn Your Belts. He will pair you up with another player and if you win like 6 times with that you will get a new belt.
When you have the black belt and want to become a ninja you have to go to Sensei and click the middle one saying Challenge Sensei. It takes 3 or 4 tries to beat him but when you do you will become a ninja and you will be allowed to go into the door on the left in the Dojo Courtyard.
I love Card-Jitsu and I am on my purple belt, I didn't have any belts yesterday! I hope I helped some of you ;) xx
