Skullduggery Island is the most recent island quest announced by Poptropica. It was released on May 20, 2010 and become the 13th island in the game. The island features a pirate theme and a lot of your quest takes place on the high seas. You will go on adventures, sail with and battle pirates and sea monsters. Here is what the official Poptropica page has to say about the new island:

Release Date
As with previous islands like Reality TV Island and Mythology Island, Skullduggery Island first became available in Early Access mode. The Early Access date is May 20, 2010. Only paid members of Poptropica will be able to play it while it is in Early Access. The release date for the rest of the players in Poptropica will be on June 17, 2010.
Skullduggery Island is the most ambitious quest in Poptropica so far. In addition to the normal quest mode, you must travel from port to port, trading goods to earn money so that you can assemble a full crew and a powerful ship. You'll need everything you can get to take on the dastardly pirate Captain Crawfish and recover the treasure from Skullduggery Island.
Skullduggery Walkthrough: Part One
Skullduggery Island is a huge adventure in Poptropica. It's the biggest one so far. The first part of your quest takes place on a small island named Fort Ridley, which has fallen on hard times because of the evil pirate, Captain Crawfish. He has plundered the entire island and all of the inhabitants are living in poverty. You need to help them out as well as discover the secret behind a strange note left behind that speaks of a treasure that could save Fort Ridley. Here's the full walkthrough of Part One:

Trailer Released
A few weeks before the release, the Creators of Poptropica posted a new trailer for Skullduggery Island! You can tell from the trailer that there will be lots of new things to do in this island and that it will be very different from most previous Poptropica island adventures. You'll assemble a pirate crew, sail from place to place in a ship, battle sea monsters, and more.

Special Skullduggery Items
At the beginning of May, 2010, Poptropica members received two special pre-release items for Skullduggery Island. The first was a sneak peek trailer movie of the new island. Because it was intended for paid members only, I don't want to give too many details of the new island here. Except that it looks totally awesome. But the trailer does reveal some important things. First, you're going to get to command your own pirate ship and assemble your own crew. Also, it's clear that there are several different themed locations in the new island. One is a traditional Caribbean pirate theme, another looks like China and a third appears to be Mediterranean.
The second item, which is even more exciting, is the Skullduggery Pirate outfit. All paid Poptropica members get one and it includes some really nice elements, like an eye patch and a peg leg. Boy characters even get a full beard! The special costume also includes a pirate cutlass. When you press the space bar, your pirate smiles and twirls the cutlass around.
About the name Skullduggery
The word skullduggery is defined as underhanded or unscrupulous behavior and is commonly associated with pirates and pirate books and movies. Because this new island quest will be all about pirates, the name makes perfect sense!
Skullduggery was also the name of a movie in 1970 starring Burt Reynolds and a computer game about pirates made in the 1980's.
Skullduggery Super Tips
Here are some quick and random tips and tricks for doing better in Skullduggery Island.
- Quickly stop and turn your ship by dropping anchor. When you get bigger ships, they move a lot faster and are harder to maneuver, especially if you have the navigator on your crew. Turning a Phoenix Warbird during battle or while trying to pick up salvage can be very difficult. But if you use the drop anchor trick, you can stop the ship on a dime, turn whichever direction you want to go, and then raise the anchor again to move. This comes in really handy when fighting other pirate ships or trying to pick up salvage near Golden Harbor near all the dangerous rocks.
- Fight Pirates near Golden Harbor. Use the rocky terrain near Golden Harbor to your advantage. You can lure enemy pirate ships here and then use the above trick to maneuver around easily. The enemy ships aren't as good and will get damaged on the rocks. So it will take much less cannon fire from you to sink them.

Wow! skullduggery island! YAY! I know skullduggery island is going to open early for members but the poptropica creators need money and this is their way of getting it. Calm down people! Did you know that there is a walk through on this very hub page for skullduggery island so just look at the walk through that is a video and then pay very close attention to the part that you are stuck at and watch it at least THREE times before you do it and while you watch it pause it every once in awhile when something important happens and right down how you do it. I'm so excited. Does any one believe in Champ a plesiosaur who a lives in Lake Champlain in Vermont? Because when I went to Camp Kil Kare I looked over the lake and I think I saw Champ because I saw things that looked like humps that could be Champ's neck and then I thing that looked like one big hump that could be his body and finally, I saw two fins paddling that were connected to the large hump. There were six other kids who saw it that believe in Champ so that is a lot of people who think they saw Champ. I agree, this is much too tedious for the younger players. Poptropica is an action-game packed with colors to attract them, lightning-fast. If we wanted a strategy game we'd go somewhere else. It takes much too time to assemble 1 Million Doubloons. This will be the only island I won't complete. Thanks alot Poptropica, looks like after Mythology Island you had to make a bad island because you couldn't bear to be fun and exciting.

On the second side of the bridge jump off and go down into the river, then get the doubloon. Go back to the General store and buy the chicken feed from the employee. Then go outside and give it to the man who needs food for his chickens. He will give you one of his chickens. Then give the chicken to the man on the other side of the bridge who's corn is getting eaten by flies. He gives you a blue candle. USE THE BLUE CANDLE TO READ THE REST OF THE DOCUMENT IN THE MANSION.
The man will tell you to find all of the pieces of the map. Go to where you started the quest and go to the top of a fort where a telescope is. You will see a raft. With a mirror you will find on a shelf in the general store, shine them a signal. Go to dragons cove island on the raft and if you go to the water and jump on a statue it reveals a mallet you should take. Hit the gong and the fish will jump up and the fisherman will get a fish that has a piece of the map. He will give it to you.

I have something that might help you with the money in skullduggery. Make a chart that says how much objects cost and in which islands. If you need to sell or buy grain, silk, medicine and things like that go to other islands. Buy stuff were it is cheap and then sell it were it is expensive. This really helped me and I hope it helps you to!!!! Oh and if you need to upgrade your ship go to Dragon cove. You know what is weird about Skullduggery? It is an island that has other island!!!! HA HA.

Hi i've never been on here before but I'VE NEARLY COMPLETED SKULLDUGGERY! The mirror is in the shop on top of a shelf on the island that u start on. Is there a cheat to get 1 million money? i just keep on going to dragon's cave, buying silk and selling it at Bouffant Bay to get money but it takes FOREVER!
I don't know if there's any money cheats on Skullduggery but the best way to get money is to buy LOTS of silk from Dragon's Cave and sell it at Bouffant Bay.PLEASE SAY SOMETHING IF THERE IS A CHEAT TO GET MORE DOUBLOONS!!!!!!!!!!! :)

this is how you do it: Playing the Island(s)
Enter the island from the Island Map (members had Early Access May 20, 2010) and climb down to Fort Ridley, one of a few small islands scattered about in the sea. For the first part of the island, you will collect items that lead to other items and clues. Once you have a ship, trading and battles will be part of the island quest.
Travel down Main Street to the right and cross the covered bridge. On the far side, climb down into the stream and go left to get the Doubloon from the sand.
Return left to Stinky Tim's General Store, and use the doubloon to buy a bag of chicken feed. Also go to the upper right shelf to get the Broken Mirror.
Give the feed to the boy with the chickens. He will give you a chicken.
Head right again, across the bridge to the corn farm. Use the chicken to eat some of the bugs, and the farmer gives you a Blue Candle.
Go far right. past the Governor's house, to the sea edge and talk to the woman there whose husband is lost at sea. (This is not necessary but part of the story.)
Enter the Governor's house and use the Blue Candle to reveal the missing writing on the Parchment. The Governor will tell you about the Treasure Map and the need to defeat Captain Crawfish the pirate.
Go back to the Fort and use the telescope at the top, where you will see a small raft. Signal the raft using the Broken Mirror, and it will dock.
The beach woman's husband is aboard the raft, and is grateful to be home. He gives you his ship, which is now crewed by a cabin boy and the old sailor from the fort.
Aboard Your Ship : raise anchor and sail to Dragon Cove, up and to the left of Fort Ridley. Avoid sea creatures, and especially pirate ships, but try to pick up salvage items in the water.
Disembark at Dragon Cove, home of Ship-Shape shipbuilders. To find the map piece, go to the water's edge and stand on the sunken statue to reveal a Mallet. Push the old fisherman to the right, past the giant Bell Gong, to near the first barrel. Then hit the Bell Gong with the mallet. This will send fish up for the old man to catch, and he will give you the map piece. You cannot immediately afford a new ship, or the services of the Shipwright, who can repair damage while underway. Ships and crew cost thousands of doubloons. You can buy a small cargo with your doubloons, preferably Silk which is cheap here but more valuable elsewhere.
Sail to Bouffant Bay, to the right, again avoiding damage but picking up salvage from the water.
You can help the worker on the dock, but you will not need his clue. Go right until you see the island's trader, who will buy any salvage, or your Silk cargo from Dragon Cove at a premium. Here, it is Medicine that is cheaply purchased. Go right to the residence with three Hanging Fern Baskets. Jump up into the 3rd, then the 1st, then the 2nd (middle) one. The map piece will appear. In the nearby Willard's Warehouse is the Cargo Master, who can increase your cargo space for any ship by 50%. He is also not affordable at the start. Be sure to buy a cargo of Medicine.
Sail to Parrot Port, directly below. Sell your salvage and cargo, but there is no cargo to cheaply purchase here. In Petey's Pirate Pub is the Navigator, who can increase your sailing speed if you hire her. At upper left is a Cracker. Go back to the Trading Post and locate the Parrot. It will tell you to dunk yourself in the sea and come back to find it. When you do, it wants you to block some smoke, which refers to the nearby chimney you can stand on. Now the parrot is at the palm tree at far right, and tells you to see the pirate in the tower near the shore, who is the parrot's owner. Go to him, then locate the parrot flying above the buildings. Use the cracker to lure him back to the tower, where the pirate gives you the map piece.
Sail to Golden Harbor, directly below, home of the Golden Harbor Bank. You can borrow doubloons equal to your current net worth, and make larger profits with the capital. You can have the loan for up to 20 days at 5% interest per day. To get the map piece here, you have to light three of the five street lights, some of which go out when others are turned on. You should light the 4th, 2nd, and 1st in that order. The map piece appears in a draped archway.
Sail for the Pirate Outpost, directly left, and dock there. Sell your grain and buy Spice, which is cheap here. Climb up the giant skull, jumping over hostile pirates. In the cannon shack is the Cannoneer, who you may wish to hire later. At the top of the mast is a "cannon starter kit" (fuses), which will fire any of the four cannons on the outpost. Push the small barrel of explosives off the mast and into the water below. Swim it over to directly under the Golden Tooth of the rock skull. Go left and fire the cannon there. Hitting the barrel will shake loose the Golden Tooth and reveal the hidden map piece.
The Circular Trade Route : Sail back to Dragon Cove, directly up, and sell the Spice there. Now you have established a clockwise "trading route" that will enable you to slowly build your wealth and buy larger ships and more cargo, and eventually hire some or all of the four helpful skilled crewmen. The Dragon - Bouffant - Parrot - Golden - Pirate route is not required, but workable. There are no shortcuts, but your progress is much faster as you increase your ship size and speed.
Winning the Game : When you have the largest class of ship, the Phoenix Warbird, and the skilled Cannoneer, you are more than a match for any ship, even Captain Crawfish. Sail to battle him off Skullduggery Island. When he is defeated, return to the Governor's house at Fort Ridley. He will give you the location of the Buried Treasure and a Bone Shovel to dig it up.
Travel to the island and dig at the mound 6 paces right of the Black Flag. After the treasure is out of the hole, you will be surprised by Captain Crawfish and his crew, and a spy who posed as an aide to the Governor.
Unfortunately, there is no duel. Your crew sails in to save the day, and you return the treasure to Fort Ridley, where the Governor awards you the Island Medallion!
Hints:
1) Getting sunk in battles (or otherwise sunk) will lose 10% of your doubloons and 10% or 13% of your cargo.
2) Use your anchor to control your ship around salvage and rocks.
3) Don't spend so much on a ship that you cannot buy a full cargo for it.
Quirks:
1) The game is currently very buggy around the finish, losing days or entire characters. Be prepared to reboot rather than start the island over!
