Poptropica S.O.S Island

Poptropica S.O.S Island is the 24th island quest in the game, and was released to members in early access on January 26, 2012. Non-members were only able to play a short demo version of the game, but it will be made available for everyone to play on February 16, 2012. In S.O.S Island, when a luxury liner on a whale-watching expedition hits an iceberg, there is a disaster. It's up to you to rescue everyone on board as the ship sinks deeper into the ocean.

Very little is known about S.O.S Island other than that it will take place on board a doomed ship in the North Atlantic. You'll need to rescue the survivors of the ship and go deep underwater as part of the quest. The adventure was created to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic in April, 1912.

Poptropica S.O.S Island will feature a special bonus quest for Poptropica Members. After completing the main quest, if you're a paid member, you can go on a special bonus quest. It will be your mission to descend to the darkest depths in the ocean and put a stop to a large oil leak underwater. Members will also get a special Gear Pack with costumes and super powers.

Members who played SOS during the sneak peek period got special items for SOS Island. The first is the Sea Captain's outfit. The second was the Sonar Power. The third is a fishing pole.
