Club Penguin Christmas Party 2009

Get ready to party like a penguin because the Club Penguin Christmas Party 2009 has gotten underway in Club Penguin. It's one of the biggest and most exicting parties each year. Almost all of the island is totally decorated with lots of holiday cheer and stuff. You can find lots of neat hidden secrets and cheats all around the island because almost all of the rooms are decorated for the party.

First things first. The free item for the party this year is the Santa Hat. Unfortunately, it's the very same thing they gave out for the 2008 Christmas Party, but if you weren't a Club Penguin player back then, now's your chance to have it. You can get the hat inside a big green box right in the middle of the Ski Village. It's kind of hard to miss it because it's huge and there's a big free sign on it.

Probably the most exciting and coolest part of the party is the Sled Ride and Santa's Workshop. Go to the top floor of the Night Club to see the Workshop in action. There are tons of conveyor belts carrying toys and getting them ready to go on Santa's Sleigh. Are you a paid member on CP? If so, you can do the new sleigh ride game. The goal of this game is to help deliver presents while the sled flies over chimneys and roof tops. Drop the presents into the chimneys by pressing a red button on the sleigh as you fly overhead. The reward for winning the game is a full Santa Suit! You can pair it up with the Santa Hat to look like Santa Claus. If you have the Santa beard already it looks perfect.

Of course there's lots of other things to see for the party all over the place. So much of the island is decorated with lots of very cool surprises.

Over on the iceberg there's a really tiny and scrawny looking Christmas tree. It looks like the Christmas Tree from the Charlie Brown TV special. Try to get a lot of other penguins to join you on the iceberg and if you do, it will start to grow into a huge decorated Christmas Tree. The more people you get to join you on the iceberg, the more it will grow.

The lighthouse is the site of a special Christmas event called Concert for Change, which is part of the Coins for Change event going on. If you go inside, there's a stage with seating and a dance floor. There's some cool concert music playing too. We'll have to see if there's an official concert coming.

Go upstairs to the Beacon and you'll see that it's been replaced with a giant red Christmas Tree bulb.

Upstairs on the second floor of the Coffee Shop, also known as the Book Room, there's a big Santa Chair. If you want to pretend to be Santa Claus, put on your Santa Suit, hat and beard and sit in the chair.

The forest has an amazingly huge Christmas Tree with lots of presents underneath it. You can't really do anything special here but it looks so cool it's worth visiting.

The Dock features an ice skating pond that is frozen over. If you waddle over on top of it, you'll skate around just like you do on the Ice Rink.

Go to the mine to see the awesome gingerbread house. It's got tons of candy all over it.

If you go inside the Pizza parlor you'll see that all the small tables have been replaced with one long table that is decorated for a Christmas Pizza Dinner. There is one giant pizza pie right in the middle of the table and if you click it, the pizza slices get put on plates. Click on the slices and they'll be eaten! You can also click on the fruitcake and the big fish to change those as well.

Check out the Dojo. It has hundreds of colored lights strung all around the outside.
